Earlier this week I finished reading Silver Phoenix by Cindy Pon.
The book trailer for it is really cool, so I'm going to attempt to embed it from YouTube here:
It's a young adult fantasy set in a fictional world based on ancient China, and the trailer really gives the gist of it better than I can. I think fans of Tamora Pierce will enjoy this because of the strong female protagonist. There's a little bit of romance, although it's not the focus, and the ending is left very open-ended in that respect, so those who like their books to have a happily ever after romantic ending may be disappointed.
