Work-School balance

This semester has been very difficult. Not the classes or the work, just finding time. Work has been very hectic since the beginning of the year and will continue to be crazy for several more weeks at least. Long hours, weekends and holidays. I decided not to go in to work today so that I can work on the homework that has been piling up. I just finished reading five beginning reader books and one very strange transitional reader book that was originally written in German. I need to run to the library shortly and pick up one more beginning reader, then write up reading notes on all the books.

After that, I have three scholarly articles about "information seeking" to read and digest for my other class.

I should probably also get started on my writing assignment for my info. needs of children class that is due next week as I don't know when I'll get a chance to work on it this week once work starts up again.

Sometimes I wish I could just not work anymore and concentrate completely on school, but that won't happen. I need to be able to pay for school. And the mortgage, and utilities and food, etc.
